I am fortunate in living just a few miles down the road from the Imperial War Museum’s site at Duxford. This gallery comprises a selection of photographs I have taken at displays there over the past dozen years or so.
Photography at Duxford is sometimes challenging. Frequently the weather seems overcast and when there is sun the photographer faces into it! Increasing regulation also dictates that the aircraft are flying higher and further from the crowd line and often banking away or climbing.
The array of aircraft at a Duxford display is simply staggering, and noteworthy are the formations, many of which are unique combinations. Where else in the world can you see up to twenty Spitfires?
