Post-war military aircraft in British service
Over time I am building up this section to include details of all fighters which have either been designed for, or served with, British air arms since January 1946. The material is extracted from my book Aircraft in British Military Service 1946 - 1998. The following aircraft are presently on file with full specifications, operational and support service records and variant by variant photographs with many in colour. The classic lines of the Hornet family are well illustrated in this fine shot of the Sea Hornet PR22 prototype TT187 In the beginning....Meteor prototype DG202/G at Gaydon in 1969 and now preserved at Cosford (Author) Prototype P.1127 XP831 at Dunsfold (Hawker Aircraft) The sole Mk XV, RB520 used for Seafang development
